The EM/MPM is an image segmentation algorithm that uses texture information to identify objects in an image. This is a visualization of the segmentation process of a axial brain MRI using a version of the algorithm that I have implemented during my undergraduate research project.

A camera that belonged to my grandmother.
“This Italian TLR from the early 50’s uses 120mm film and shoots in the 6x6 format. Instead of traditional aperture blades it uses 2 plates which slide towards each other in a 45 degree angle, forming a square hole. The viewfinder does not feature any sort of focus preview, so an estimate of how far away your subject is from your position is necessary in order to get a focused image.” Text by the Flickr user billbaard.
